    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not have such a facility. Please refer to the Ministry of Public Administration(http://www.mpa.gov.tt/cms/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=59&Itemid=129) or the Ministry of Science, Technology and Tertiary Education(http://www.stte.gov.tt/).

  4. How can I become a Foreign Service Officer?

    These positions are advertised by the Service Commission Department when vacancies are available.

  5. What qualifications are required to be a Foreign Service Officer?

    The minimum qualification for a Foreign Service Officer is a second class degree from an approved University, a professional qualification or any combination of experience and training which is considered equivalent to a second class degree.

  6. I have just finished my degree but would be getting my skills certificate in a few months. Can I still apply for a Skills Certificate?

    No. University Graduates applying for their Skills Certificate must have their actual degree. A letter from the institution of a transcript would not suffice.

  7. I got my Police Certificate of Character from my home country two years ago, can I still use that to apply for my Skills Certificate?

    No. All Police Certificates of Character must be less than six months old.

  8. Is my University/Tertiary Education Institute accredited?

    Please call the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to enquire whether your University/Tertiary Education Institute is accredited. If it is not, you must visit the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (ACTT), Algico Plaza, St. Vincent Street, P.O.S. to obtain a Statement of Recognition.

  9. When applying for a CSME certificate, who has to present a Police Certificate of Good Character from Trinidad and Tobago?

    CSME Applicants who are Nationals of Trinidad and Tobago must present an original Police Certificate of Good Character from Trinidad and Tobago which must be valid for six months at the time of applying.
